Rad Rabbit
Vegan Pizzeria
Handcrafted plant-based Pizza, Pasta and selected western cuisine
Chiang Mai’s first vegan Pasta & Pizza Restaurant
Rad Rabbit first opened its doors in May 2020 in our bright, friendly restaurant space which was previously a branch of Vegan Heaven. We are proud to be part of the Chiang Mai vegan community and to provide affordable, high quality vegan food in the old city. After a swift menu redesign from Owner / Manager Fon, Rad Rabbit became Chiang Mai’s first fully vegan western restaurant and pizzeria.
With the goal of promoting accessible plant-based food, Rad Rabbit aims to make every diner realize that by enjoying a meal with us, you have made a positive impact
on your health & well-being

Our food
The Rad Rabbit Menu was designed for sharing, we recommend our long-fermented thick crust pizza dough with house marinara sauce. BBQ cauliflower wings, spaghetti veatballs and eggplant parmesan focaccia sandwich have also been our bestsellers from day one! We also offer seasonal menu items for a limited time.
We are committed to serving pizza that looks as good as it tastes while using only high-quality ingredients. Our priority is to provide the best possible value to our customers while serving a great tasting pizza - great value, both tangible and intangible.

Our Ethos
At Rad Rabbit we think locally and globally, supporting our neighboring community while keeping our carbon footprint as slight as possible, partnering with the best, organic, fair trade suppliers Chiang Mai. As well as our charitable programme “Pay it Forward” which invites our customers to make donations to help us feed those in need, we take part in regular food bank services in the Thapae Gate area. Environmentally minded since our inception, Rad Rabbit is proud to introduce our carefully selected local suppliers, who share our priorities while producing the tastiest ingredients.
Swees Plant-based Cheese
Our friends at Swees Cheese agree with us: plant-based foods must be tasty enough to persuade consumers to stop eating animal products. Sweese CEO Nick tells us, “I remember giving up meat was easy, but cheese was difficult. So we started research in our home kitchen!” Four years later and Swees are Chiang Mai’s largest plant-based cheese producer. “More than 90% of our ingredients are sourced locally.” Nick tells us. “We use fresh soybeans from certified organic farms here in Northern Thailand.” Nick’s also changing the face of plant-based cheese with his recipe; “We make the raw organic soybeans into a fresh milk first, then we use other all-natural ingredients like coconut oil, so no artificial color and artificial flavor, no preservatives whatsoever.”
Tomato Farm Yu Chan
Scoring a partnership with Yuchan Highland Tomato Farm in the nearby Mae-On district was a huge turning point for us in 2021. Their flavorsome Japanese but locally grown tomatoes had long since been turning heads in Chiang Mai, on sale in high end retail outlets such as Rimping. We purchase the “unsellable” tomatoes that aren’t perfect enough for the supermarkets, reducing food waste while providing our customers with the tastiest tomatoes in the city.
Tempeh House Chiang Mai
Our local Chiang Mai tempeh factory provides high-quality, homemade tempeh in small, personal batches. The tempeh is made from organic, non-GMO and pesticide-free beans.
Tok Salad
The good folks at Tok Salad are just as committed to keeping their produce free of preservatives. Tok started growing his own lettuce when his wife, Sine, was pregnant with their second child. The family doctor suggested Sine increase her fiber intake, so Tok learned to mix the soil and grow lettuce organically at home. Ever since, Tok’s veggies are certified organic, fresh, tasty and crispy, always hand picked before dawn.
Our Team
A woman-led operation from day one, Rad Rabbit values the positive attitude, fairness, understanding, and generosity between management, staff, customers, and vendors. Owner / Manager Fon was Eastern Thailand raised and comes from a science background before deciding to make her passion for all things plant-based, a full time profession. Our indispensable Manager, local boy Tommy joined us in early 2021, you’ll have seen his smiling face behind the counter, while behind the scenes chefs Joe, Dante and Golay have worked with us for almost two years now, joining us from the Shan State. You may see their kids bouncing in and out of the restaurant sometimes.
